Anti-2nd Amendment advocates are pursuing federal magazine restrictions. The Senate will begin debating gun control proposals. We can expect discussions of legislation that would ban any magazine with a capacity over 10 rounds and the possibility of additional restrictions imposed magazines.
According to the Fire Arms Coalition, FPC, there is no basis in law or historical tradition that would support such a ban.
“Such firearms and magazines are constitutionally protected today, period," said FPC President Brandon Combs. "Time and technological evolution do not change the fundamental nature or the scope of constitutional rights against government infringement.”
